Essex International Jamboree

Essex International Jamboree

We had 33 young people on camp and I hope they have all come away with some great memories.
First off I wanna say a big thank you to all the helpers and organizers of the EIJ itself. There was so many activities put on there was no time for the kids to get bored.

I couldn't have done this camp without the help of the other leaders Glenn Killick and Dan Eldred and also that of the parent helpers who helped out as well, Alison Hughes , Andrew Ray and Mark Willson. Glenn and Alison thank you for giving up a whole week to help run this Camp and Dan, Andy and Mark thank you for all the work you did when you were with us too.
Thank you so much to all of you above, without your help I wouldn't be able to run any camp. There isn't enough praise I can give you, there really isn't.

I want to thank the Explorers and also the young leaders who attended who also dug in and helped out as well, thank you guys you was a great help.

Parents thank you for bringing your kids to the venue and picking them up. A troop our size is difficult to take ourselves so I fully appreciate you traveling to these venues so they get the opportunity to take part.

I wanna say thank you to the kids who came, I hope you will tell those who never came, how good it was so they will not want to miss out next time .

Also thank you for the kind messages on the Facebook page, I did go for more videos and photos this time as not only do you get to see whats on offer but also the fun they are having.

Finally thank you to the parents who met us at the hall, we had an army of helpers and the van was unloaded in no time at all.

Have a great summer everyone.

Mark (Scout Leader)
