St George's Day Parade 2016

St George's Day Parade 2016

Just back from the parade and what a fantastic turnout, 37 in total well done to you all, and also to the parents who brought them along. Can we say how smart you all looked today on Parade .

We had 13 Beavers, 10 Cubs and 14 Scouts

Their are two main Church Parades in Scouting, Remembrance Sunday and St Georges Day.

These two parades are very important, and in previous years we have had a very good turn out for both from all sections.

St George is not only the patron Saint of England but he is also the Patron saint of Scouting, and rather then being held in a church it is held in Dartford Park by the bandstand.

Big thanks to all that turned up.
